As you know, life can be very challenging, and regardless of where in the world you live, how much money you have, or how old you are, life’s problems and circumstances do not discriminate and can seem to pile up quickly. Sometimes it can feel like no one else has the problems that we do. When we look at the lives of the people around us it appears they have all of these wonderful opportunities just handed to them. Opportunities like: having great friends, a wonderful career, a wife/husband, health, wealth, happiness, and the freedom to do whatever they want. Isn’t that what life is all about? The ability to find happiness and fulfillment?

I say yes

I say yes to both! Life can be filled with endless challenges and the potential for endless happiness too. Most certainly, life’s challenges and living a happy life are subjective and will look different for each of us but one thing is certain, we all want freedom.

The need for freedom

Freedom is a beautiful thing! Sometimes you don’t recognize you have it until it’s taken away. With so many of the joys and pleasures that life can bring, the moment we realize our freedom is at jeopardy everything else we once thought was so important can become worthless very quickly. Without true freedom, our capacity to live a fulfilling life of purpose can seem impossible, especially when we have big dreams and goals to accomplish.

Sometimes it’s up to us

For some of us, life seems to be going pretty smoothly, we are making progress chasing our dreams, succeeding in our careers and relationships, and we are not worried about the future. But for other people it may seem like they’ve been stuck in hopelessness, not catching a break, or finding any opportunity for joy and fulfillment in life. Sometimes it’s just a season of challenges in life we have to face or it may be, that we are the cause of all of our problems. We have to take a sober-minded approach to examine ourselves, attempting to put all pride and shame aside and take an introspective look into our heart and ask the question: “am I the problem?”, “does my life seem hopeless because of my actions?”. It’s up to us to recognize the truth about how we’ve been living our lives and then begin to take action.

Our journey begins and ends with freedom

The moment we realize our personal choices have been limiting our potential, we should be moving quickly to find a solution. Not wasting any of our precious time beating ourselves up or living in self-pity; many people get stuck there but we don’t have to. You have to begin having healthy thoughts and take things one step at a time celebrating small victories along the way. Yes, life has its challenges and we all have some sort of baggage to let go of. And it’s certain that you are not reading this by coincidence. It’s time to believe for the impossible in your life and take a courageous move to fight for your freedom!
