Save money on body wash for the rest of your life!

There are two green unlabled bottles for shampoo and conditioner. They are in a stainless steel holder on the shower wall. Learn how to save money in this article about body wash and shampoo.

For many years I was buying expensive shampoo and conditioner that promised to keep my hair strong and amazing. I was also alternating between high quality moisturizing bar soap and expensive body wash. And yes, the products seemed great and smelled wonderful, and I was also proud of the brands that I purchased but after a while I began to rethink my recurring purchases. Once I realized I need to do everything possible to reach my financial goals I discovered a valuable lesson. So now I can share with you how to save money on body wash for the rest of your life!

Wasting time and money is not fun

The shampoo and conditioner I purchased cost $15 per bottle and it would last about one month. The body wash cost about $12 and would last about a month also. When I used bar soap, it cost about $8 for a four pack and each bar would last less than a month. Now here’s the interesting part. When I used the bar soap there would always be soap scum buildup in my shower in addition to it drying out my skin. So now an additional amount of time and money was spent on cleaning my shower, buying soap scum removing shower cleaner, and buying moisturizer for my skin. I was spending an average of $36 per month on all of this stuff; that’s $432 per year! And I did this for several years! What a waste!

The moment that changed everything

One day I ran out of body wash and bar soap so I had to clean my body with shampoo. Afterwards, I recognized that I felt just as clean, smelled good, and my skin was perfectly moisturized. And Bam! That’s the moment I realized I don’t need to waste my money on body wash or bar soap anymore.

Results that matter most

For the past three years I’ve been purchasing my shampoo and conditioner from Aldi’s. It’s great quality and the price is just less than $3 per bottle. And, as I previously learned, there’s no need to buy bar soap or body wash. And since shampoo doesn’t leave soap scum it’s a win-win. Now my average annual cost is only $20. That’s right, $20!!  Talk about a huge savings for the same results.

Now that’s worth sharing!
