Is your deodorant safe to use?

Many years ago I met a client who mentioned that she has a health condition and that her doctors did not have a solution for her. She began to explain there was a high level of toxins in her body, specifically aluminium; she believed it was from many years of using makeup and deodorant. She then began to warn me to be careful of what I put on my body. Initially I thought she might be a little crazy but during the time I spent with her she was actually very normal. That is when I began to consider what I’ve been using.

What’s in this stuff?

A couple days went by and I remembered the conversation I had with my client. I decided to look at the deodorant I use and read the ingredients. On the label it only showed one ingredient which was: “Aluminium Sesquichlorohydrate 25.0%”. It also showed a list of warnings which I shamefully overlooked when I purchased it. Those warnings I read about explained the soreness and skin irritation I would experience from time to time. This really caused me to question why I was using this product, especially since I use it so frequently.

It was time for a change

I decided to do some research and found a product at Whole Foods called Thai Crystal Deodorant. I read the ingredients and all it showed was “Mineral Salt and Purified Water” and there were no warning labels. So I decided to try it. I was concerned that it might not work so well since it’s all natural but the results were perfect. Since then, I’ve been using it all the time and haven’t had any issues. Moreover, in addition to it working great with no health concerns it also doesn’t stain my clothes.

It’s definitely worth it!

I’ve been using this product for almost twenty years and I highly recommend it. I hope you’ll check the ingredients of the products you’re currently using and consider if it aligns with your personal health goals.

Pro Tip: I recommend using the deodorant spray combined with the deodorant stone. They will last a very long time, almost a whole year! Once you get out of the shower use the spray deodorant first then the stone.
