Do you know who Dietrich Bonhoeffer is?

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was born and raised in Germany, he became a wise and accomplished man who lived a relatively normal life until he was presented with some choices that would change the course of his life forever. Dietrich was a man of passion and a man of excellence. He made it a priority to do something special with his life during a challenging time in his country. When thousands of men and women found it easier to accept a laissez-faire approach to increasing oppression in their homeland, Dietrich knew life on this earth is short, so instead of taking the easy way out, his courage propelled him into the realm of heroes.

Dream big dreams

Truly, the life we live is short. At best we can hope to live to one hundred years old but if we’re lucky maybe it’s more like seventy or less. Every minute people around the world are passing away; what were their hopes and dreams? What were the hopes and dreams their parents had for them? The point is: life is short. We may not always have the opportunities in this life to chase our dreams, but we do have the obligation to ourselves and our parents to do something great with our lives. To make good choices, to dream BIG dreams, and to make unselfish decisions that could change the world.

Pursue purpose in life

There is an old saying: “it’s better to be a living dog than a dead lion”. But I say, it’s better to be a dead lion. We are stronger than we know and are capable of accomplishing feats larger than we realize. Yes, it is easier to sink back into a life of comfort, play it safe, and forfeit the power we’ve been given. But, WE ARE LIONS! We are not designed to be dogs! Our time on this earth is limited and it goes by very quickly. Now is the time to be bold and courageous, to live a life of no regrets, to be men and women who stand up for what is right, to become the people God has chosen us to be.
