Wherever you live, the rainy season could last for a couple months or most of the year. The ability to see clearly through your windshield is often an overlooked luxury until you’re actually caught in a storm and everything in front of you looks blurry. Even with the wipers on, there’s a couple seconds of relief only if the wiper blades are in good condition. This can get dangerous very fast especially if you’re not an experienced driver. If you’re afraid to drive in the rain, I have an excellent solution for you!
An easy solution for greater visibility
There has been a product on the market for many years that solves this problem and it’s called Rain-X. I personally have been using it for many years and I apply it to every window on my car, in addition to the mirror glass. If you’ve never used Rain-X, you owe it to yourself and the safety of others to make this purchase. You will forever be impressed how well this works. In fact, It works so well you may not even bother turning on your wipers again!
Pro Tip:
Make sure your vehicle is very clean before you make your first application. I recommend using a microfiber towel to apply and remove the light haze left behind. Make sure to apply two coats so there’s thorough coverage on the glass. If you don’t have patients to remove the haze you can just spray the vehicle down with water and that will take care of it or just wait until it rains.
Lastly, your wiper blades should be in good condition for optimum visibility and operation. If you’re due for a new set I recommend sticking with the OEM one’s that came with your vehicle. The Parts Department at your dealership can help you with that.
