Is pornography really that bad?

A man standing close to a lake early in the morning. He is contemplating if pornography is bad. Find out if it really is in this article.

Pornography has been around since the beginning of time, it’s really not a new concept except that now in this digital age, we can search and find whatever we want, whenever we want. The question many people may ask: “is pornography really bad?”, I’m sure you already know the answer to that question, but we can review some of the details together.

First of all, you must recognize that all humans have a soul, and we were not created to fill our hearts and minds with exuberant fantasies; if you have your doubts about that statement, consider doing some academic research on the topic. You’ll find studies of people who are so passionate about chasing every sexual fantasy always end up empty and not satisfied. It’s peculiar that we are drawn to such things in life that just simply feel right and promise to provide so much joy and fulfillment, but in the end, we are left emotionally bankrupt.

The endless search for pleasure

Many people who have dedicated themselves to this lifestyle are in some ways like a drug addict, they’re always looking for their next fix. And worse yet, many of them are suicidal, they are often not happy with their life, the choices they are making, and the shame they may feel.

You were created for a purpose

Some people may find this hard to believe but the truth is, we were created for more than just pornography, we are each created for a purpose. Sexual intimacy within the context of marriage is the mysterious design that was planned for all of us. Some may argue, disagree, and perhaps be angry about that statement, but it is not my design, I did not engineer the human heart and soul, all I can do is see the evidence of what works and what doesn’t and believe the Truth.

In some respects, this post is perhaps controversial, and that communicating in such a way to cause a debate does not interest me. I am not someone who needs the attention or aspires to speak foolishly. On the contrary, I am someone who cares about all people, and I have personally experienced how damaging pornography can be.

Below you’ll find a few videos that will elaborate more on this topic. I hope that you would be open minded and be honest with yourself to consider what you believe and why you believe it. Thank you for taking the time to read this. You have my respect whatever you choose to believe.

If you have been caught up in pornography or worked in the adult entertainment industry there is hope for you!
