About four months ago I listened to an interview with the people involved in creating the Chosen. I heard so many interesting details and stories about the production that I became very interested and decided to check it out and found it to be such a blessing. Have you seen the Chosen series yet? It’s a great series
As someone who has read the Bible for many years and studied the history of the Bible, I thought this video series was really well done.
If at any time in your life you have read through the New Testament and enjoyed particular stories or passages of scripture, it’s possible that the challenges that most people faced in those days may not be the first thing that came to your mind while you were reading. For example, if you studied world history, you would recall in that time period the Romans occupied the land. There were also the same (if not worse) issues that we face today such as politics, poverty, slavery, insecurities about money, famine, and war. And truly, the list goes on and on for the good and the bad of those days. But that is why I think this series is great, it depicts past events in real-time and helps us to consider the entire narrative.
You’ll be inspired
As you watch the series, I believe you’ll have a fresh look at the environment in the days of Jesus and the challenges His disciples faced. I hope you’ll watch each season and become encouraged about the truth of the gospel. I have received much insight and encouragement from watching this series. It’s also been a worthy investment of my time, especially since I’ve been re-watching it and discovering things I missed. I hope you’ll add this to your watch list and make it a priority.
