Got baggage? It’s a great time to unload it!

Many old, leather style suitcases stacked very high. All different colors and designs. This image is similar to the baggage we carry throughout our life such as insecurity and anger. Learn how to shed some of that baggage in this article.

We see stories on the news of people making poor choices and living very wild lives. We also read the social media posts of people who feel the need to share about their latest drama. The truth is, all of us have baggage. Whether it is a cultural norm or a sense of propriety to keep your personal life private (which is a wise choice), some people appear to never have any baggage or problems in their lives and that leaves many of us feeling like we are the only one’s dealing with issues. As a resident of planet earth, we all have issues and things we need to work on. Especially when it has something to do with our childhood. If you know you got baggage, take the first step today to unload it.

A step in the right direction

If you know you have some things to work on, you’re in the right place. And, if you are someone whose been on the journey of personal growth and healing for a while, you certainly have my admiration! It’s true what they say, “taking the first step can be difficult, but so worth it”!… Sometimes that first step is forgiving someone or forgiving yourself.

Our baggage can be a burden

There are many challenges in life, and most of the time we lack the tools necessary to get the job done. When it comes to chasing our dreams, it’s no different. To achieve a huge task like that we need to have those unsettled things in our lives settled. Just image if you have a dream to climb Mount Everest, would you rather attempt to climb it with just one bag or ten?

Moving forward

At this point you may wonder where to begin. I recommend taking a small step. Think of an area of your life that needs some attention. Perhaps you are an extremely selfish person; spend time thinking about why you are selfish, then work on that, and then practice generosity. The same process applies to any other area of your life. Spending time writing things down is a huge first step to solving the mystery of why we do what we do. Speaking with a counselor or therapist is a wonderful decision but they would ask you to do the same thing. So save yourself the time and money for now and just put pen to paper, be patient with yourself and see what happens. You have to start somewhere.

It’s a meaningful journey

There are many books I’ve read on my personal journey that have helped me tremendously in addition to positive messages. As I’ve learned, I’ve also grown, and learned to become a leader and lead others. I believe you’ll be able to do the same and even accomplish all of your dreams.

It’s a perfect day to begin!
